From October to December 2022, I tutored for the University College Venlo course ‘Globalisation: World Politics and Economies’. Responsible for tutoring three out of the five groups enrolled in the course, I had the opportunity to teach students about issues that are characteristic of our increasingly globalized world. Drawing from political philosophy, we discussed the problem of increasing inequality, various forms of freedom, the idea of a ‘private government’ and the concept of cultural identity. Health care, social justice, and climate change were some topics that were extensively discussed as well.
