In March 2022, I presented my work at FEM Maastricht’s Women Researchers’ Festival. The Festival aimed to celebrate International Women’s’ Day by promoting the innovative spirit of women researchers and to fostering possible collaborations amongst them. I presented the results from a recently published paper of mine on utilising unwanted fishing catch in Dutch food bank parcels. The paper was the culmination of a student project conducted by six women studying at University College Venlo, whom I had the pleasure to supervise between March and July 2021.
