INTERREG SUN is a Dutch-German inter-regional project focussed on the sustainable valorisation of fruit and vegetable side-streams. The project brings together 16 partners with a broad range of industrial and academic expertise from both sides of the border. The aim is to create legal and technological pathways to sustainably valorise side-streams that would have otherwise ended up in landfills or biogas plants. In this consortium, together with Dr Alie de Boer, I represent Food Claims Centre Venlo and seek to understand the legal and food safety aspects of fruit and vegetable waste valorisation. The video below was produced in collaboration with consortium partners to explain the aim of the project. I speak about my contribution from 4:47 to 6:32.
