In September and October 2020 and 2021, I tutored students for the skills course ‘Introduction to Academic Skills’ at University College Venlo, Maastricht University. The aim of this course was to equip new students with the basic tools required to navigate university level education. Topics such as writing an academic essay, providing and addressing feedback, using a reference management software, and searching for scientific literature were addressed.
