In January 2023, I facilitated a workshop on coding and analysis qualitative data for students participating in the University College Venlo course ‘Interviewing’. I presented the relevance of coding as an analysis technique and expanded on the various approaches one can take while coding. My lecture touched upon affective, literary, and elemental methods. Students, who were working on their first qualitative research project, brought their own interview transcripts to the workshop andI offered support in the coding process.
